2022: Why Diet Matters

why diet matters

Are you thinking about losing weight in 2022. We all are thinking of how we can lose a few pounds and get in shape in 2022. Regardless of how you work out, a healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition. A healthy diet protects you against many diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Eating a variety of foods and consuming less salt, sugars, and saturated and industrially-produced trans-fats, are important for a healthy diet.

According to a study by Rowan Chlebowski of the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, women who went on a more natural diet of fruits, vegetables and grains, while reducing their fat intake had a 21% decrease in their risk for breast cancer.

Combining a healthy diet with exercise is a more effective way to lose weight than depending on calorie restriction alone. Adding exercise to your diet can prevent or even reverse the effects of certain diseases, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol.

When it comes to losing weight and body fat, diet and exercise are most effective when done together as compared to either strategy alone, according to new research. According to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Diet plus exercise is more effective for weight loss than either method alone. Eating a low-fat, low-calorie diet and getting regular exercise helps shed pounds, but a study led by researchers at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has found that when it comes to losing weight and body fat, diet and exercise are most effective when done together as compared to either strategy alone.

If you’re walking into the gym for the first time in your life in 2022, or you’re getting ready to commit to your yearly goal to lose 20-30lbs, the real way to do it, is to stick to your goals is taking the right approach to losing weight. First off, don’t expect to look like a model or bodybuilder right out of the gate.

If you’re at 25% body fat (or above), your goal is to get down to 20% body fat. Set a goal to start seeing progress three or four months down the line. That may seem like a lifetime when you want to see change!

The point to focusing on diet as much as working out or physical fitness is that diet is critical to weight loss and staying in shape and should not be ignored for solely working out.
